Long Lasting

Watch out for the "Recommendations"! They are incorrect

Apparently I didn't read the reviews when I ordered this product & the "recommended" film because I too ordered the wrong film (which by the way states on it's package that it can be used for the "FUJIFILM INSTAX CAMERA ONLY". Why there are two different Fuji Film Instax cameras is besides me...they should have made ONE with the option of using different size films. Duh!

I've already opened my film package because I had NO CLUE there was a difference. Now what?

So very, very disappointing Amazon.

Easy - Results better than expected

Easy to use, good clear pictures, results better than expected. We used them snorkling in Grand Cayman where the water was very clear. We took pictures at depths between the surface and 15 feet. The best pictures were taken when the sun was shining as it made it brighter under water. I was surprised how well the pictures came out even when pictures were taken when it was cloudy. The only thing that was a bit strange was that you don't hear a "click" sound when the picture is taken. You push the lever down until it stops and then wonder "did I actually get the picture?" or "what part of the picture did I get?" because we took a lot of motion pictures i.e. someone or fish swimming and wondered if the target was centered in the middle of the frame. Scenic pictures above the water came out very clear too. I would definately buy this brand again.

Cost a little high?

I'm guessing that the Polaroid film will make a comeback. I used to by this film at CVS for a lot less than $38.95.
I'm hoping it does make a comeback even though it was bought out.

This buy was one of the smartest decisions I've made. It's a great camera for stepping outside of the ordinary and expected. Every shot is an experiment in light, focus and personal style. I love my Holga and would greatly suggest one to a curious photographer, amateur or professional.

DO NOT BUY FROM AMAZON

DON'T buy this camera from Amazon. (actually you can't anyways). We ordered this camera for our upcoming cruise. As time was tight we chose the more expensive purchasing option from Amazon.com as it was listed as "In Stock" and "available for PRIME Shipping". I ordered it with Prime Shipping for 2 day delivery. Well 2 days came and went and no camera. I went back to my original order and noticed that the estimated delivery date was a week in the future? How could this be if it was "In stock" and a ordered with 2 day shipping? I cancelled and re-orded with over night shipping. The estimated delivery date was STILL a week away! That is when I saw that the "ships and sold by Amazon.com" descprition I saw when I placed the order changed on the delivery notice to "Sold by MTA..". Talk about bait and switch.

Fun little camera, produces great results in the right conditions!

This camera is fun to play with, and produces interesting results when the conditions are right. I find the viewfinder useless, so I just aim the camera on instinct, knowing that it's fisheye will capture what I want, particularly if I'm close to the subject. If I'm shooting in marginal conditions, I will turn on the flash, let it charge up, then turn it off, take the picture with the flash, then take a second one with the flash off. I would never consider it a replacement for a SLR or other high quality camera, but it definetly has it's place in my camera bag. Overall, a nice little camera to play with.
